João Galvão holds a M.Sc. in Communications Engineering from University of Minho (2014).

In 2013 is invited to lecture in University of Minho, in areas such as Computer Networks, Algorithms and Data Warehousing, position he has maintained until now.

In 2016 he starts working as Big Data Engineer in University Minho and Bosch Car Multimedia, S.A., Innovative Car HMI Project - Business Intelligence Platform for Data Integration.

Since February 2017, he starts is PhD in Advanced Engineering Systems for Industry (AESI). This programme is promoted by the University of Minho in cooperation with Bosch Car Multimedia Portugal.

His main research interests lie in Big Data and Data Warehousing.
